Unsurprisingly, the success of the PSI Porsche 996 GT2-R did not go unnoticed on the international stage. The car attracted a great deal of media attention, thanks to RED BULL as a regular sponsor, and, depending on the race series, supported by tyre contracts with Pirelli or Dunlop, as well as many other major international companies.

This support reflected PSI Motorsport's impressive achievements and gave the team a continuously growing image and level of prestige.

Future in Le Mans

The team's sights were now set on the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans. The architecture of the successful PSI 996 GT2-R had to be modified and its technical features adapted to meet the different technical regulations of the FIA and the ACO in order to participate in ACO races.

Success in the 2004 Belcar season

The car described here, which was built for the 2004 Belcar season, achieved further notable successes with drivers Fred Bouvy and Vincent Vosse. The first victory of the season in the Nissan World Series at Zolder, in front of 50,000 spectators, was a particular highlight for the whole team.

The tireless collaboration between Fred Bouvy and the team was also undoubtedly instrumental in the PSI 996 GT2-R's ever-improving performance.

With his many years of experience (of everything that has wheels and moves on them), Fred Bouvy was an invaluable source of information for the team, particularly with regard to the highly disciplined handling of the car and its engineering.

Future prospects

The car is being completely rebuilt and will be available for hire for historic racing series such as Peter Auto, Le Mans Classics or even for a coaching session with Markus Palttala from spring 2025.
